Addictions:   Addictions are a complicated issue, and the more an individual understands the deeply rooted causes of their behavior the better chance he or she may have in controlling the condition.

Anxiety and Stress:  Counselling can help you achieve lasting change in dealing with anxiety, which can include workplace issues, family relationships, and social environments. Graham works closely with clients to develop tools and resources to handle the anxiety on your own, and promoting psychologically healthier patterns of living.

Depression:  Knowing exactly what depression is means you can recognize the onset of future episodes, if they occur. Gaining new skills, or being able to challenge depressive thinking and behavior at the onset, means you can be confident about leading a depression-free life. Good depression counseling will help you learn these skills.

Family & Parenting Issues:  Parenting and raising children is not an easy process especially if there is no common ground between the child and parent.  As a neutral person, Graham can offer the best common ground and help foster peace.

Fears & Phobias:  Counselling  can provide remarkable change in the area of fears and phobias. Aims and objectives include identifying irrational fears and thought patterns related to the phobia, identifying negative and irrational behaviours related to the phobia, small and incremental exposure to the feared object, and making lasting changes in the thoughts and behaviours that accompany the fear.

Grief & Loss:  Grief counselling aims to help people cope with grief and mourning following the death of loved ones, or with major life changes that trigger feelings of grief (e.g., divorce).

Relationship Problems:  Relationships are an enormous part of our lives and inevitably form and influence who were are. Our relationships include not just those of partners or spouses, but also our relationships with our families, friends, and loved ones.

Self-esteem & Personal Development: Counselling can help immensely in the area of self-esteem. The goal is to empower you to take control by developing tools and resources that can change your current environments, change automatic negative thought patterns and negative self-talk, and promote psychologically healthier patterns of living.

Separation & Divorce: Separation and/or divorce can be a lengthy process and its important to keep the channels of communication wide open.  Graham works with individuals to help them feel more comfortable and sane during this time of crisis. Communicating effectively when you are both emotional can seem at times impossible.

Trauma & Abuse:  Psychological Trauma is damage in response to a traumatic event in one’s life. This can involve a single traumatic experience, or an enduring or repeating event or events that completely overwhelm our ability to cope and integrate our ideas and emotions. Symptoms of trauma or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can include nightmares, flashbacks, insomnia, panic attacks, alcohol and substance abuse, and avoidance.

Work-related Issues:  Modern life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. For many people, stress is so commonplace that it has become a way of life. Stress isn’t always bad. In small doses, it can help us perform under pressure and motivate you to do your best. Stress in large doses can be detrimental to one’s health, and can show up in other ways such as depression, anxiety, confusion, low-motivation, changes in eating and appetite, and feelings of being overwhelmed.
